Attic Insulation Company

One of the most important areas of your home to protect is your attic. Some wood decking, underlayment and roofing material is all that stands between your inside living space and the outdoors. Adequate thermal protection is needed to keep the heat in during the winter and the heat out during the summer.

During the hottest months of the year, your attic can reach up to 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Our home insulation team can install highly efficient attic insulation products to protect your inside living space from thermal transfer and keep it at a comfortable temperature. Depending on whether this area is finished or unfinished and what your budget is, we may recommend one or more types of material barriers.

Basement Insulation Company

Your basement is surrounded by cold soil, which can have a dramatic cooling effect on the inside. Because heat naturally moves to cooler areas, the warmth from your furnace can move into your basement and out into the ground. Our professional home insulation company can help protect your house from this type of thermal loss through basement insulation and air sealing techniques. Some of our materials even help prevent moisture intrusion.

Insulation Types

There are a wide variety of products that can create a more comfortable environment in your house and make the property more energy efficient. Which types or types we choose to use in your space will depend on your energy-saving goals and your budget.

  • Spray Foam Insulation – One of the most effective types is polyurethane foam. It comes in two varieties: open-cell and closed-cell. Both of these come in two separate containers as a liquid and are sprayed simultaneously. When they combine, a chemical reaction changes them into a foam that rapidly expands within even the tiniest cracks and crevices before it cures. Open-cell is porous and spongy, and while it’s great at baffling noise, it is not waterproof. Closed-cell does not have pores, so it can protect from damaging moisture. It is so durable that some types of it are used as a flat roofing material.

  • Blown in Insulation – The cellulose type is highly recommended by our eco-minded insulation company. Almost 85 percent of the materials used to create cellulose are recycled. We use pressurized hoses to force this material into place. When done to the appropriate fill, it is resistant to settling and can offer outstanding protection. It is important to have this work done by a professional insulation company. Many homeowners have attempted this as a DIY project, but it’s tricky: they either don’t apply enough, leaving areas unprotected, or they install too much so that it settles and leaves uneven protection. It’s also very easy for an untrained person to let the particulate waft into the air. We put the product exactly where it belongs. It stays put, providing long-lasting protection.

  • Fiberglass Insulation – The most affordable of our products, fiberglass often comes in batts or foam board. The batts are rolls of insulation that are sized perfectly to fit in between joists and wall studs. But the pieces have to be cut to fit, which leaves space for air and heat to pass through. Our insulation company recommends using this in conjunction with spray foam to seal the gaps and provide the most efficient and affordable solution possible.

In business since 2006, we take pride in providing our clients with the information they need to make their properties more energy efficient. This is great for the environment and great for them financially. Not only can proper home insulation save you up to 20 percent on your utility bills, the states we serve may also offer rebates and tax credits. Contact us today for your free onsite consultation.
